Description: The Solanum Pyracantha, also known as Porcupine Tomato is a very conspicuous and unusual plant. It always attracts attention and initiates conversations.Solanum Pyracanthum has velvety gray-bluish-green leaves with protruding glowing bright orange thorns. The purple flowers are star shaped with yellow stamens and are prolific. You can spend a lot of time studying this plant, discovering new details about the texture, shape of the wavy leaves and the arrangement of the angular thorns. It is a great subject for macro photography. If you live in a cold climate I suggest you overwinter inside. These plants were grown from my own cultivated seeds. These plants continue to grow once I have photographed them. I will send the largest available first. The shortest the day I photographed were at least 12" tall. The pictures are of all available at this writing.
