Now, look at picture 2 to see how the shoulder supports the connector mechanically for much improved durability. We also provide a stainless steel shim to work with certain radio's or scanners when the bottom of the connector does not seat on the top of the radio. It is important NOT to drive the center pin into the connector too far, so this connector adapter allows the proper amount of center pin insertion before it stops. In cases where there is a small gap between the connector and the top of the radio, use the shim. Personally, I use this on my BCD396T, BCD396XT, BCD436HP, Yaesu VX-3, VX-5, VX-6, VX-7 and Kenwood TH-F6A, Home Patrol 1 and 2, etc. This can be used on MOST scanners or radios with a SMA-female connector on the radio. Will this work on SDS100 scanners? Some people have said yes and I just got one who told me it does not fit their SDS100, so IF you decide to try it on the SDS100, THERE WILL NOT BE ANY RETURNS FOR ANY REASON!
