No.8. Not censored. Written “15th March” on reverse and “I’m glad to know that you all are fine. As I live in good health, don’t worry about me, please. It’s warmer here in Taiwan. We are not suffered from disease now. On 8th of this month, our unit had ceremony for dead persons. We made decoration and gave offering to our alter. Commander of the regiment and Commander Hosoya prayed under the sun. Sakujuro Sakuma from our place histed the flag. Commander of the 2nd Division came to Kagi Fort. We are glorious more than ever. As to the payment, I’m going to send you 50Yen on 21st or 22th. Then, reply me, please. There is nothing to write you more. I will write you later. To Tozaburo Ogawa. 15th February.” Taiwan P.O.No.8 was open at Kagi (Jiayi) from 12th October 1895 to 31st March 1896. On 1st April 1896, it converted to civil Kagi P.O.
