Description: Excellent looking and working Silvertone 6-transistor AM pocket radio, model 9204 (gray case) with original leather case. Commonly called the "Tuxedo," this radio is most often seen in black, with a smaller number in coral/salmon, and a very few in this gray color. Manufactured in the late 1950s, this was one of the earlier transistorised Sears/Silvertone radios. No cracks, chips or other major imperfections were observed. The radio includes its original tan leather case with carrying strap. This is definitely one of the nicer "as found" early transistors that I've come across. Although still wired for the old style 9 volt battery, conversion to modern 9v is simple. Radio worked well when tested, and pulled down every test station loudly and clearly. This is a fantastic opportunity to grab a radio that looks like it must have been living in a time capsule for most of the last ~70 years!
