Description: This vintage Silvertone 1448 Amp in Case guitar is in good playing condition and has been checked and serviced by a professional luthier. Made by Danelectro for Sears, this is the set up that got many young rockers started on their way. It is a fun little set up and brings back memories of the 1960s. Even though it was an entry level set up it has remained popular to this day. This one is in nice condition. The frets have some wear, but still have some live left in them. The amp retains its original two prong plug and to be safe should be changed out to a three prong plug. The guitar, when plugged into a modern amp, sounds great. The case has survived in decent condition, but is missing the handle. The controls are your basic volume and tone.There is some writing and a small tear on the speaker grill on the back of the case, but this does not affect playability. Some of the white binding tape has discolored with age as can be seen in the pictures. There are a few bumps and bruises, the worst of which is on the back of the base side horn and is pictured.
