This is the Charles IIII 8 Reales depicting the bust of King Charles the fourth of Spain, facing right, on the obverse. The obverse of this large, silver dollar size coin, has the legend "CAROLUS.IIII.DEI.GRATIA" surrounding the king's bust and the date 1795 below it. The reverse depicts the crowned arms of Spain between pillars with the legend "HESPAN.ET IND.REX" followed by the mint mark "Mo" then "8R. F.M." all surrounding the arms. These coins were used extensively in the US before the silver dollars were circulated. The coin is nicely toned and shows all the details very well. It is a truly a nice coin with great eye appeal and has nice heft to it. This is KM# 109 weighing ~27 grams and measuring ~39 millimeters.
