Features and further details RECOMMENDED USES: Pinstriping, scrolling, lettering and art on automobiles, panels and other surfaces for both interior and exterior uses. SURFACE PREPARATION: Wipe OEM and other cured surfaces with Surface Wash or other prep solvent. All surfaces must be clean, free from loose or peeling paint, grease, oil, dirt, rust, mill scale and other contaminants. If this procedure is not observed, the drying and adhesion of any coating will be adversely affected. For optimum adhesion, glossy surfaces should be lightly sanded prior to application. MIXING / APPLICATION: Stir paint thoroughly before use. Use any good quality bristle brush designed for pinstriping, scrolling, or lettering. Ronan’s Urethane Striping Paint can be applied straight out of the can, or after palleting with a Urethane Striping Reducer (UR-750) to the desired consistency. This is typically achieved with a 5-10% reducer. When a clearcoat is to be applied over the pinstriping, there is no need to use a Urethane Striping Activator; the paint will not wrinkle. When used over a cured finish, paint must be palleted with UA-100 Urethane Striping Activator (mixing at an 8:1 ratio). Activator cures the paint and is required to achieve top coat durability. It protects from scratches, chips, weather, and harmful chemicals. Using UA-100 Activator will also extend open time, slowing down the initial drying properties. If applying by spray gun or airbrush, mix with a high-quality urethane-grade reducer (fast speed, ideally) to desired viscosity. Be sure to mix at least one part of the UA-100 Urethane Striping Activator into eight parts of Urethane Striping Paint if spray-applying over a clearcoat.
