Description: This auction is for the single print displayed in the first photo. It was part of a 100 copy limited edition “At Home” collector’s box by Robert Miles Parker. Specifically, the print pictured originated from box 14/100. We have included a photo of this origin box as the last photo, but this box is not included in the auction — we just wanted to show provenance. Each print has a hand number at the bottom right indicating the print number in the box. “At Home” print box The artist introduced this 100 printing limited edition as follows: “Welcome to the AT HOME box - a collection of thoughts and observations; other peoples and my own. it’s a box of things I’ve seen mostly in San Diego. The box is a diary, a journal an unbound book of life. Pages and prints vary in their quality, weight and texture. You see I traded art for the printing. I wanted to record, and I wanted to not be intimidated by “Proper Art”. A box of philosophy, a document, sometimes sublime, and sometimes vulgarly sexual. My need to record is often stronger than my need to discriminate. Robert Miles Parker 1982.” Robert Miles Parker 1939–2012 Robert Miles Parker was an artist and preservationist whose pen-and-ink drawings of urban landscapes displayed a whimsical delight in storefronts, apartment buildings, houses and theaters. His lively Manhattan’s architectural drawings were representational but far from architecturally precise. His drawings were shown in both private galleries and public places, including the Empire State Building, the New York Public Library and the Museum of the City of New York.
