Description: Gorgeous Antique Hanging Lamp Excellent restored antique condition! Working well, freshly rewired and ready for you. A true antique hanging light from the turn of the century. The Hubbell shade holders are marked with patent dates of July 23 1903 and Feb 23 1904, and the original brass socket covers are by Edison. The insides of the sockets have been replaced with new sockets, working great and ready for years of use to come. The antique glass shades are gorgeous, with no cracks - just a couple of tiny "flea bites" on the ribs on one of the shades, but nothing noticed when in use (see closeup photo). The fixture has an antique gold painted finish, with the ornate details being highlighted by the finish - so lovey! The fixture uses two standard-base light bulbs up to 100 watts (or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like as they use low wattage for bright light). Light bulbs and ceiling mount screws not included. **Note about glass shades: If you prefer a different style of antique glass shade, send us a message with your preference and we can let you know what we have in stock - we have many antique and reproduction shades that aren't listed on eBay yet.** This beautiful antique is from a large antique lighting collection in Fenton, Michigan - see and watch our store for more from this fantastic collection. Here are details about the restorer: The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family's burglar alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980's: "Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales". He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #24). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art. We are certainly proud to have acquired his amazing collection, as we also restore and sell antique lighting and love to share it with all of you who want true antique pieces that have historic personality in your homes and buildings.
