Description: 1700s 18th Century Revolutionary war era French cuttoe sword Sword is in original condition with normal signs of wear and corrosion measuring approximately 33” inches total with a 28” fullered blade. 28" blade length. 33" overall with hilt. 6.5" false edge. Curved single edged blade with double fullers mounting carved ivory grips, and a double chainguard affixed to a single curved quillon. Chain is composed of butted links. Item features a lightly engraved guard and pommel cap, with the latter displaying engraved floral motifs enclosing the peened tang. No manufacturer markings visible.
