Description: Real Venetian Murano Cased Red & Aventurine Art Glass Bead Necklace VINTAGE Stunning true vintage Venetian Italian art glass bead necklace features blood red glass and sparkling copper aventurine cased in clear glass from an estate. Beads have metal caps with little clear spacer beads in between. Large beads are approx. 1/2" and the last few inches of the necklace feature smaller beads that are about 3/8".Brass barrel clasp closure.Necklace measures approx. 19 1/2" long.Very good condition with no chipped or damaged beads. *Aventurine is the name given to a Venetian glassmaking technique developed in 16th century Murano, at the heart of the Italian glassmaking tradition. Aventurine from this period is seen as 'inclusions' of golden sparkles – a vitreous mass characterized by small shining copper crystals in the glass. Offers considered!
