Description: RARE French Couture CLAIRE DEVE Poured Glass Charm Etruscan Revival BRACELET IMPORTANT & IMPRESSIVEFrench CLAIRE DEVEFrench designer Claire Deve created couture fashion jewelry for the likes of notorious fashion houses and designers like Chanel and others. She designed for a very short period (1984-1996, a mere 12 yrs) so her pieces are scarce and highly coveted. Her designs include elements such as poured gripoix glass, 18K gold plating, and swarovski crystals. This particular bracelet is by far one of the most elaborate and over-the-top creations I have seen by her. Done in an etruscan revival theme. The base of the bracelet measures 1.5” wide and when including the cone shaped dangle, it measures 3” wide. Each cone-shaped charm is elaborately designed with scrolls and various textures and embellished with ruby and amethyst swarovski rhinestones and topped with large high-dome sugarloaf sapphire blue glass cabochons. In between the large cone shaped charms are ruby, emerald and sapphire poured glass teardrop dangles, as well as translucent amethyst glass beads. The bracelet terminates with a signature toggle clasp. A little extra length is typically given to bracelets with a toggle clasp closure as done in this one, at almost 8” in length. While unsigned, the construction, materials and elements used, as well as overall design are clear and unmistakeable indications that this is a Claire Deve creation. If you are drawn to couture statement pieces, then this should have you at “Hello!” You can get an indication of the sheer size and volume of this bracelet by its appearance on the hand-display in the photographs.
