This Wonderful Engelhard Bar will definitely be the Center Piece of any Engelhard 10 oz hand poured collection, it is a 5th series Canadian poured bar with a #1 prefix, and a reverse imprint that appears to have come from two 1 ounce silver bars.....the imprint is so clear you can almost make out the s/n's of the 1 ounce bars. I contacted the Engelhard site in regards to this bar and have printed their exact email response below for your information with no edits....Hi Fred, Thanks for your email. Very nice 1. prefix bar and it definitely appears authentic. We have one other bar in our archive photos (attached) that had a similar 1oz sideways imprint on the reverse like yours, and also close in serial numbers. These bars in themselves are very rare, but this anomaly adds a lot of character.
