Description: Rare CYANOTYPE Snapshot PHOTOGRAPH of Three CHILDREN. Circa 1860'sOffered for sale is this wonderful Vintage CYANOTYPE of a 3 Young Children. Print measures 4 5/8" by 3 5/8" and is mounted on lightweight cardboard. It was developed in 1842 by English astronomer Sir John Herschel, looking for a way to make copies of his notes. Cyanotypes offered a way to copy drafts and diagrams. And since color photography did not yet exist, they provided a tinge of color to otherwise black and white images. Thus, Prussian Blue. Minor glue remnants on the paper mount, otherwise overall good condition.See my other Vintage Photographic Items now on eBay NOTE: Thanks for looking and bidding, invoices are emailed within hours of auctions end.
