Description: This rare photo snapshot came from a box of prints taken on Okinawa in 1945, after its liberation by the Americans. It is in good collectible condition, with some finish damage, creases, and minor curling. Most of the damage is seen only in reflection (last pic). I will be listing many more soon, but I thought this one was very rare. It is the Island Command Cemetery, with readable names, and personal info on the back. Two names behind the front three are 'PFC T.R. Lavoie', and 'PFC C. Kallicote'. It was taken by James McClellan Litchfield (1925-2006), whose info was also in the box. He was from here in Wallowa Valley, Oregon, and is buried in Enterprise. His obit says he served in WW2 and Korea, but I could not find more information on him. One of the photos shows him as part of a photography team in Okinawa. He typed on the back "Grave of my buddy, Island Command Cemetery on Okinawa". The photo measures 4-1/4" x 2-5/8". Please let the pics be your guide when bidding, as they are a major part of the description. Please email for more pics or information. I offer a full refund if not satisfied.
