Description: See pics . Note ! The banner will be shipped without the frame . Frame isn’t included ! The banners/pennants measure at 35" x 23" and appear to be lithgraphed onto the black backgound material .One of these was pictured in a book published in the late 1980's that detailed the history of lithgraphed art. Here is an extremely rare and unique banner that were used to cheer on The Ohio State football squad around the 1910 era. You may have seen one of these banners appraised on the January 17th, 2000 episode of the Antique Roadshow. At that time Daniel Buck Soules of Frank Boos Gallery of Bllomfield MI appraised the lady's single banner to be worth $1000-$1500. According to Mr. Soules these banners were one of the first items depicting the football in its current ovel shape. Prior to this, footballs had been round. Also according to Mr. Soules he surprised the lady by telling her that there were actually two different banners made at the time. One banner indicating "Home Coming" and another as seen here indicating "Welcome Visitors". Mr. Soules had indicated that if she had both banners in excellent shape tha value could be closer to $2500.
