Released in 2005 for the exhibit: "A Date With Diana" -- The exhibit of Princess Diana's dresses and historic memorabilia in the Precious Moments Inspiration Park in Carthage, Missouri. This was the largest Pink Ribbons exhibit EVER with over 3,500 items on display. The little seated princesses' dress is modeled after the lilac gown by Donald Campbell that Diana wore in New Zealand during her first LONG trip to Australia and New Zealand in April 1983, where Diana famously broke with royal tradition and brought along ten-month-old Prince William. This early Diana dress was the first dress acquired by Pink Ribbons and is the dress most closely associated with the charity's exhibit. Pink Ribbons also commissioned a doll of Diana wearing this dress. Figurine is approximately 5 1/2" tall Downsizing 40+ year royalty collection.
