Description: This pretty old box has good polished rosewood veneers complimented with mother of pearl cartouche and brass escutcheon plus m.o.p. roundals connected with pewter stringing to the lid and the front. A green felt is fitted to the base. Box opens on brass stay open hinges with a brass lock but no key. Delightful interior with a black textured lining paper to the walls and red velvet to the bottom and underside of the lid. A pretty box measuring 10” x7” x 4” approx. Minor wear commensurate to age, thanks for looking.
