Description: Postwar Soviet pilotka in double twill. Made 1970 by the BSSR Hat Factory Mogilev. Stamped size 59, but seem slightly oversized, so may or may not also fit a 60. Lower shape and double twill material like WW2. Pilotki were made almost unchanged from WW2 until about 1973, when switched to the late Cold War type in single twill polycotton with taller form (early obr.69 uniforms were same material as 50s-60s uniforms). The light green lining material was used only by a few makers in late 60s-early 70s. Originally had obr.64 "staybrite" star, but cant find it. Could also display with earlier star as filler for WW2 or early Cold War.
