Description: Platinum Matched Pair of WW2 Sylvania JAN-CHS 6V6GT / VT-107A Smoked Glass tubes, Copper Grid Posts. These World War 2 era Sylvania NOS 6V6GT / VT-107A tubes are great sounding tubes. The tube with VT-107A marking was sold to the military, and the other with Tung Sol marking was sold to civilians. They are essentially the same tube facing different markets. Both tubes were manufactured by Sylvania in the 1940's. Tubes are tested on our military TV-7D/U mutual conductance (Gm) tube tester, which was recently restored and calibrated by Dan Nelson - the King of TV-7 series tube tester restoration and calibration. TV-7D/U test results (also refer to photos for measurements): Tube 1 Gm: 90 Tube 2 Gm: 80 * Minimum good for 6V6GT tubes on TV-7D/U is 46 (65% of NOS), so Below 46 = Low testing tubes 46 - 71 = Good tubes 71 and above = NOS tubes So these two tubes are very strong, way above the NOS level. Also, tubes are Platinum Matched, matched around 10% of mutual conductance. No shorts, no leakage, no gas. The Tung Sol branded tube has a hairline crack in the base, but it has no impact on tube performance or sound. Tubes will come with generic white tube boxes.
