The reverse side features Aquino with a pen and camera as The Manila Times war correspondent covering the Korean War, four people holding hands, a woman with a basket and child giving flowers to soldiers with machine guns, a teacher and student with an open book, the Tarlac Capitol building on Luzon Island, and the Concepcion Municipal Building in Tarlac. This banknote uses a windowed security thread with demetalized 500 and solid security thread and contains a watermark with a Benigno Aquino Jr. design.
