Description: Original 1950's Jazz Analogs - Lot of 2: BOBBY HACKETT, Both are Ed1 & Near Mint Description Offered, as one lot, are the 2 First Edition Pressings by one of the most popular Jazz Bands during the early days of 12" Vinyl Recordings - Bobby Hackett And His Jazz Band. Both LPs will be in your mailer, and are in Near Mint condition: BOTH OF THE VINYL RECORDS: NEAR MINT NM : This top grade applies to both of these superb LPs. They are lightly played with minimal spindlewear. Bright, Turquoise and Silver Capitol Records Labels (please see photos). Each of the four sides retains all of the original gloss. Present is some light sleevewear from the original paper inner sleeves, and a few shallow hairline marks that are cosmetic and will likely produce no or minimal audio interference. The Records show exceptional care and handling. THE COVERS : EXCELLENT EX : Please see photos / well-stored with some scuffing / bright colors / all of the seams, including the spine, are intact - although there is a small amount of tape on the lower seam of The Coast Concert / no paper loss, paper tears, dirt, or stains. Included are both of the original paper inner sleeves (please see the photos in our gallery). A Note About The Recording Technology: In the early 1950’s, the invention of "Long Play" Vinyl Records (33 1/3 RPM) was a new analog Mono technology that became more commercially popular than the existing 78 RPM shellac recordings. While these early Monos are Great Treasures, they can playback with what we modern music listeners call "background noise", and an occasional click or pop. Improved mono recording methods later pioneered by Rudy Van Gelder (and others), and then Stereo in late 1950, reduced this noise problem.
