This fuel tank sender will work in tanks from 6" to 24" deep. It can be used as a right hand or left hand swing unit with minor adjustment. This unit has a 240/33 ohm (empty/full) resistance rating, which is common for most aftermarket gauges. This sender has a 2.745" O.D. round base with a 5 bolt pattern. Rated by Steve on January 05, 2018 Summary: Hi, I bench tested the 1957 Dodge Power Wagon truck gauge (12 volt) with this sending unit and it works great. Needle moves in line with the float. One must realize to ground the gauge to the negative side of the battery on a 12 volt negative ground system (grounding is not shown in the wiring schematics)!!! My 1954 Dodge Power Wagon may not be speedy but Speedways parts work just fine! Yes, I recommend this product.
