Description: This is a clean New Old Stock example of a Gulco 24 2-pie rear reflector (with a clean used fender bezel) set for rear fender mounting on lightweight road bikes (e.g. Racer, Breeze, Varsity, Collegiate, Suburban), Schwinn part number 07 778, made for Schwinn beginning in 1971 by the Gulotta Division (or Gulco) of Bright Star Industries, and used on various Schwinn models in the early 1970s. Reflector area is 2¼" in diameter on a Bright Star No. 2222 aluminum backing and 1¾" diameter lightweight fender bezel. (The "LW" bezel stamp is faintly visible at about the 7:00 position on the bezel in Photos 1 & 2.)This reflector carries an SAE 1971 compliance, as seen on the front of the lens ("SAE A - 71"), and was first issued in or around 1970. This provides a full rear fender mounting, including the correct backing bezel curved to fit the profile of a lightweight bicycle fender. (The bezel's curvature is too tight to fit a middleweight fender.)Reflector condition is New; the bezel is used. Both the reflector and its mounting bezel have been polished and waxed.
