It will not repair hard to press buttons. There is a metal snap dome sheet under the rubber keypad. If the buttons do not work unless pressed hard then the snap dome sticker layer needs to be pulled back and the buttons cleaned with Deoxit Gold G100L *Critical* Do not use any other cleaning chemical or Deoxit color. In a pinch you can use 90% Isopropyl alcohol but the repair will not work as well or last as long. Other Deoxit colors (red, etc) will cause problems over time and make your buttons even worse. The problem is the gold plating has micro imperfections and red Deoxit will react with the copper underneath creating a green goo that blocks conductivity. CautionYou need a T6 Torx bit to remove the 6 screws. It is VERY common for the plastic screw posts to crack and break. The phone requires the screws to be fully tightened or it will not work correctly. Broken screw posts will prevent the phone from working. It is common for screw posts to be cracked (especially in older worn and beat up phones) and then shatter or fall apart when you take the phone apart. These are very difficult to repair, partly because there is very little available room for adding glue or reinforcement.
