Description: Description Daedalus is a plate-style reverb. The initial concept was the sound of the latest Belton 3 brick reverb. From there, after various trials and errors, we added depth and preamp circuits, and came up with the idea of an effects loop. By using a discrete JFET preamp circuit and an external effector (effect loop) that is applied only to the effect component, you can achieve special effects that cannot be achieved with conventional reverbs. Distort the reverb, add modulation effects, pitch shift...the possibilities are endless. ■Two ways to use Exp terminal Daedalus' Exp terminal has two uses. ・Expression Connect an expression pedal to control the amount of reverb. The REVERB knob setting will be the maximum value when the expression is depressed. Please connect using TRS cable. ・Effect loop You can connect an external effector to distort or modulate the reverb component. Connect an external effects processor using a TRS to Y cable (sold separately). ・Tip = Send ・Ring = Return ■Effect loop that allows you to apply external effects to the reverb component You can connect an external effector to the Exp terminal using a TRS-Y cable. The effector connected there will apply only to the reverb component. (*No effects are applied to the original sound) If you insert a modulation type, you will get a reverb effect with ``undulations'', and if you insert a distortion type, only the reverb component will be distorted. Through various trials and errors, we considered embedding the Shimmer function, which is a recent trend, but the idea was consolidated into an effect loop for flexibility. In other words, if you insert a pitch shift system, you will get a high quality Shimmer effect. The mix of effects inserted into the effect loop is controlled by BLEND. ■Preamp control to push the sound Equipped with a discrete onboard JFET preamplifier. Higher settings boost the reverb component, making the decay (reverberation) and reverb time effects stronger. At the same time, it also affects the sound, increasing the slightly distorted compression feel typical of analog. If an external effect is connected to the Exp terminal, the volume of that effect will also be amplified at the same time. ■REVERB II switch This footswitch allows you to toggle between two Reverb (common Wet) controls.
