The designs on pottery were an important means of communicating they created the pottery for ritual use as well as burial with the Dead. The flute player is considered as ceremonial figure to send music and a peaceful send-off for the dead and beyond. The features on the effigy pot have slanted eyes a stout nose and circle earrings at lobe. A visible flute could be seen extended from the mouth. Currently from a private collection. I sold a polychrome bowl with seals and monkeys similar from the same collection Because of the significance of this artifact this item will be insured and a signature would be required to receive package once it arrives.
