Description: MedSpec GripperTM 12″ Hinged Knee Brace Med Spec Medical Specialties Inc. 1170XX Internal Skinloc patch grips onto the calf muscle and inhibits the brace from sliding down the leg. Hinge pockets are reinforced on the inside with ballistic nylon material. Excellent durability. Open popliteal space behind the knee prevents material bunching up during flexion of the knee to improve comfort. Posterior belt loops maintain outer closure straps in their proper position during wear and allows for ease of application. Fits right or left knee The Gripper Hinged knee brace provides medial and lateral stability and resists distal migration due to an internal SkinLoc pad that works in concert with the outer closure strap to grip the proximal end of the calf muscle. Hinge pockets are reinforced in the center and at either end with high tenacity nylon material to enhance durability. Wraparound anterior closure allows for ease of application and an optimum fit. The Gripper 12in knee support contains a 12in long medial and lateral hinge and is available in three different base materials: 1/8in Neoprene, 3/16in Neoprene or CoolFlex. The neoprene versions provide warmth and superior compression. The CoolFlex version is breathable and hypoallergenic. Features Compliance & Migration Internal SkinLoc pad works in concert with the outer closure strap to grip the proximal end of the calf muscle and inhibit the brace from migrating distally, thereby enhancing patient compliance. Durability Straps are made of high tension elastic that allows for numerous applications without fraying or losing closure strength. Metal hinge pockets are reinforced on the inside with ballistic nylon material at wear points to prevent hinge from wearing through the pocket. Ease of Application & Comfort The wraparound anterior closure allows for ease of application and an optimum fit. Open popliteal minimizes material bunching during flexion to improve comfort.
