As you may have guessed from the album’s title, Australia is the lucky recipient of the GIMMES latest musical makeover. Crikey! Five tracks from proud Aussies the likes of INXS, Olivia Newton-John, and Air Supply, are belted out with the boisterous fun-loving style that only the GIMMES know how to pull off. Didgeridoos be damned, these tunes are all brimming with ripping guitar leads, up-tempo rhythms, and the signature silky smooth vocals of Spike Slawson. Go Down Under is their first newly recorded material since 2006 and from the opening riff it’s blatantly clear the guys haven’t lost a step. Just to add to the excitement, the vinyl version of the album will be made available on a highly collectable double 7”.
