The paint/decal scheme is for the fictional character of Lt Bruno Stachel as portrayed by George Peppard in the movie, The Blue Max. Triplane was part of a WWI project student did for school in the 2004-5 timeframe. If you are expecting perfection this may not be for you but as for a close approximation this is a chance to have a display other than the one offered by Matchbox. 1. Matchbox Collectibles/Dinky 1/48 scale Fokker DrI Triplane. Triplane comes with stand. Airplane is approximately 4 1/2" x 6" long in size. It has been painted in the scheme of Leutnant Bruno Stachel as seen in The Blue Max. Triplane shows normal wear/tear associated with age/use/storage. Aircraft custom painted by student for project. May show paint touch ups/overlap, decal scuffs. Stand has been hand-painted with name of the pilot. May show other minor age related defects.
