Many heavy-walled, brass slides offer great sustain, but large inside diameters create a poor fit that makes it difficult to use and impossible to wear on the pinky and small fingers. The addition of this inner sleeve reduces the inside diameter to US ring size 5-6, which can allow many users to play with this slide on their ring finger or little finger, depending on the size of the finger. *IMPORTANT* This slide is sized for small, thin fingers that conventional sized slides will not fit. I have made several custom slides in this size for musicians who can not find slides with a small enough inside diameter to fit snug on their finger. Your slide will ship out shiny and polished, but over time the finish will darken and develop a deep, rich patina.
