Description: Description: An excellent pair of Secessionist period covered glass jars, in hand-blown amethyst glass, panel cut to shape. We are attributing these to architect Josef Hoffmann, lead designer for the Wiener Werkstätte. These would have been made by Moser or Meyr's Neffe in the 1910s. Size: 6.675" tall, 4.375" across at their widest. Mark: None. Condition: Wear to the polished bases of both. One has a couple of rough spots inside the rim of the lid, and a small error in the cutting on the top of the lid. The other has a 1.25" long hairline and related chip to the rim of the base, a flake on one corner of the base, and a couple of minor ships inside the rim of the lid Shipping weight is 5.0 lbs.
