Description: I have this vintage early 1960's employee parking lot gate card issued by The Port Of New York Authority. It was for a parking lot located at the New York International Airport. This airport opened in 1948 and was commonly known as Idlewild Airport before the name changed in December 1963 to JFK following President Kennedys assassination. By 1954 Idlewild had the highest volume of international air traffic in the world. Insert the card into a slot to raise a gate to enter the parking lot. Coated in plastic so card is like new. Card measures 3 7/8" x 2 1/2". A great piece of memorabilia. Will ship in 1 business day.
