Film 1: I Am a Doctor (1960s) COLOR Runtime 24 minutes I Am a Doctor was based on actual tapes left by Dr. Loyd Judd jr., of Prague, Oklahoma, who died March 4, 1956 from acute leukemia first diagnosed by himself in April 1955. Pretty amazing, but highly depressing film about what one can look forward to when one becomes a doctor. I think this film is quite astounding at all the medical fields one could get into. from podiatry, psychiatry, to being a surgeon. Speaking of which, be prepared for some pretty graphic operation footage. Release Date: 1960Entered the Public Domain: 1989 Film 2: Doctor in Industry (1946) B&W Runtime 55 minutes Epic history of industrial medicine in the first half of the 20th century, showing how manufacturers and the medical profession came to terms with one another and culminating in GM's rehabilitation program for returned World War II veterans. A drama with a story ranging from the early 1910's to the mid-1940's, it is worth seeing for the later scenes set in the 40's, as they are of historical interest.
