Finger Groove Style: Two pieces come together seamlessly in the front of the gun to form a resting place or molding / grooves for the three fingers below the pointer finger. Provides more stability for firing. Uses the existing factory grip screws. Will fit: Colt 1911 Officer / Defender models (smaller version of the full size Government / Commander models). Will fit all those models where the distance from the center of the top screw hole to the center of the bottom screw hole is 2 5/8”. Will NOT fit: Colt 1911 Full Size pistols, where distance from center of top screw hole to center of bottom screw hole is 3 1/16”.
