This is for the 1994 TV Movie “Hercules And The Amazon Women” which made up four feature length TV movies preceding the television series “Hercules - The Legendary Journeys”, which in turn spun-off the popular “Xena - Warrior Princess” and “Young Hercules”, as well as an animated film and various soundtracks and video games. This VHS is in very good condition and has never been played whilst in my possession. Please note it is imported from the US and therefore uses an NTSC signal so you need to make sure your VCR is NTSC playback compatible. Synopsis Hercules: The Legendary Journeys - And The Amazon Women A long time ago when myths and legends were made, cruel gods played mankind for their sport. For centuries the people lived in terror and cried out for a hero and so Hercules, a giant possessed of a strength the world had never seen, a handsome, invincible Adonis, was born of a mortal woman and Zeus, king of the gods. Hercules is pursued by his deadly implacable enemy, his stepmother Hera, queen of the gods, who uses many supernatural disguises to try and destroy Hercules as he comes to the aid of a village besieged by mysterious, unseen monsters. Taken captive, tortured and threatened with death, Hercules falls under the spell of their fierce queen, Hippolyta. It would seem that Hercules has fallen into a deadly trap that threatens to engulf him and his quest forever. This stirring saga of swords, sorcery and stunning special effects stars Kevin Sorbo as Hercules and Anthony Quinn (Zorba the Greek) as Zeus.
