Description: Vintage HARLEQUIN Salad Plates made by the Homer Laughlin China Company in the UNITED STATES! These salad plates are approximately 7 1/4 inches in diameter. There are no backstamps, as is to be expected. I am a dish collector, and am reducing my collection. Choose your color from the drop-down list. (And if there is a particular one from a set that you prefer, just let me know.) Some are in REALLY NICE vintage condition with no flaws noted, and some have one or more imperfections. I have priced them separately, according to condition, and have provided photos where the imperfections are pointed to with a Sharpie pen. I have also provided photos in multiple light settings so you can see them well; I think the color shows nicely in the photos with the white wicker table background. There are a few things to note on some of them: Yellow: No scratches or utensil marks. They all appear to be UNUSED. One of them has the TINIEST of fleabites on the edge, which is not really noticeable unless you are searching for it. I've pointed to it with the pen in the next-to-last photo of the yellow plates. This same plate has 2 glaze flaws on the BACK, and they are also pointed to by the pen in the last photo of the yellow plates. Note that the yellow plate in the upper right is somewhat darker in color than the other two.Yellow with imperfections: Neither has scratches or utensil marks. Each has a chip in the edge, as shown in the photos. The one shown at the left has a TINY little black dot (hard to see, except in the outdoor light), and the one at the right has 2 TINY black dots -- one on the upper section, and one in the center section. The one shown at the left has a somewhat darker color than the other. Photos #5 and 6 are the plate on the left, and photos #7 - 9 are the plate on the right. Rose: There are 2 of these, and they have very faint MINOR scratches that are only viewable if held to an angle in the light. The glaze is nice and even on both. The only thing noted is a small area of thin glaze (NOT a chip) on the rim of the one on the left. See last photo. ** I also have 2 Rose with no imperfections in a separate listing, and would be happy to combine shipping if you are looking for a set of 4. **Rose with imperfection: There is a small chip UNDERNEATH the edge. It does not show from the front. See the last 2 photos, where the chip is shown (photo #5) and the edge is shown (photo #6) with the pen pointing to where the chip is located underneath the edge.Coral with chip: No scratches or utensil marks. Each has a chip that is visible from the front. For the one on the left, the chip is TINY and is hardly noticeable from the front, because it is mostly underneath. See photos #8 and 10, which are this plate. Photo #9 shows the chip in the plate on the right. In the stack of plates in photo #11, the one on the left is at the top. (Photo #12 shows the difference between the CORAL color of these, and another -- at the bottom -- that is ROSE.) Turquoise: No scratches or utensil marks. They appear to be UNUSED. Each has a tiny sand bump on the top surface. For the one on the left, it is on the upper section. For the one on the right, it is in the center part. These are pointed to by the pen in the photos. Turquoise with imperfections: The one shown at the left has no scratches or utensil marks, and appears to be UNUSED. It has 4 TINY little black dots on the top surface, pointed to by the pen in 3 separate photos. It also has an area of thin glaze at the edge, also pointed to by the pen in the photo where the plates are stacked. The one shown at the right has some very light scratches that are visible when you tilt it to the light. This one also has a darker color than the others.Turquoise with chip: No scratches or utensil marks. Looks UNUSED except for the chip on the edge. Orange / Red: No scratches or utensil marks. They appear to be UNUSED. The glaze on the upper surface is fairly nice and even; the glaze on the back is splotchy. The one on the left has a TINY light spot (see photo #5). It also has a TINY chip UNDERNEATH the edge, as shown in photo #6 (and also see photo #12, where the plates are stacked); this is not visible from the front. The plate on the right has a rough spot on the rim (photo #7); a little raised ridge in the center part (photo #8); 2 TINY light spots on the upper part (photos #9 - 10); and a light spot in the glaze underneath the edge (photo #11 -- this is NOT a chip, and does not show from the front). Green with chip: No scratches or utensil marks. Looks UNUSED except for the chip on the edge. Photo #10 shows how they look at the edge, when stacked. Could still be displayed nicely in a plate holder, as in the example shown in the last 2 photos: these are both photos of the plate at the right, and the pen is pointing where the chip is fully hidden under the leg of the plate holder. All plates are sold as shown in the photos and in AS IS condition, and are priced accordingly. Happy to provide any additional information and/or photos upon request.
