" -- going as far as even ' stamping ' the 10/20/74 ( Last-Show ) Ticket with " The Last One " !!! Well, in '74 - just following both the Wake Of The Flood ( '73 ) and Mars Hotel ( '74 ) Album releases ... and the subsequent ' Heavy ' touring with the " Wall Of Sound ! " ( and no-pun intended ... on the ' Wall ' part ! ) -- the Grateful Dead had decided to call it quits, take a ( permanent ? ) " Hiatus " to work on solo-projects, rest & relaxation, and basically anything other than ... ' Grateful Dead '. So, this was kind of a scary last-call here at the Winterland in October of '74 ... but, So-Thankfully ! - they just couldn't stay away ... and were all back again together playing Live in 1975, and eventually Touring once again ! in the Summer of 1976 - with also ...
