Description: This is a set of "La Chouette" brakes from Grand Bois. They are center-pull brakes intended for direct mounting or by using a center-mount back plate. They have the same dimensions as the old style Mafac "RAID" touring brakes and the contemporary center pull style from Rene Herse. If you wanted to mount these using a center-mount back plate, you'd need one from an old pair of Mafac RAID. Note that this is a complete set, along with several extra straddle cables (in two different lengths), and an extra set of straddle yokes (which are quite a unique marble style). These brakes are pretty tough to come by; I believe a set-up like this would run about $350 to purchase new/retail, with all the additional items.
