Description: GE Super Radio III 7-2887 AM/FM (EXCELLENT CONDITION) Long range radio with excellent sound. This boxed radio was sold as "new" when I purchased it at a restore. When I unboxed it, I was pleased that I was able to find a new Super Radio like this in mint condition, that is until I turned it on. The lower half of the stations on the FM band didn't come in. So I put it back in the box. Finally, I took the back off and sprayed tuner cleaner into the tuner circuit potentiometer and it fixed the defect. Because it was tricky getting the back off, it left a few very indentations in the seam near the tuner knob where the back connects to the front. (I am including a magnified photo to show them). Therefore, I'm not listing it as "new" or "open box'. However, other than those indentations, it is actually in new condition and I'm selling it because I don't need it anymore. I also checked out the operation and there is no scratchy noise when turning the control knobs, the stations on both bands are received as they should, and I inserted batteries to ensure that the radio works when powered by them when the AC power cord isn't plugged into an outlet.
