Description: Fresh Plumeria Cuttings from my 30yr old tree. These are a tropical to subtropical (USDA Zones 9 & higher for outdoor) trees, native to Hawaii, your cutting is coming from FL. They love sandy soil that drains well. During the rooting stage it’s best to use a planter that has drainage holes & cactus soil. If you’re in a tropical or subtropical climate then you can stick it right in the soil where you want it & let it grow. It will take root in about 4-6wks with light watering. If you water these too much they will rot. Water the cutting every 2-3wks & let it drain well. It’s okay if the soil dries out during the rooting stage, if it does just water it. During rooting for best results it should be done in full sun (roots faster). When you plant it, it’s going to need 6-8hrs of sunlight a day, it can be direct sunlight or scattered sunlight (my tree is under a few oak trees & does fine). If you are using this as a house plant it will need a sunny spot. Grow lights do help. It flowers in the summer with hot weather & lots of humidity, so if you live up north once the temperature is above 70 degrees you can move it outside, but be sure to pull it inside once the temperature drops below 68. The plumeria will shed its leaves in the winter. In the spring they come back with beautiful flowers. My plant has flowers as the color shown, it’s multicolored with pink, yellow & and tiny bit of white. Absolutely beautiful. You will receive one cutting of a minimum of 12”, most cuttings will be longer. The cutting will be made when your order is made so it is fresh. When you get it depending on what time of year you ordered it the cutting may or may not have leaves. Put the cut end in soil, the rounded end is the top. I will mark it for you which end gets planted. Once your cutting roots it will sprout more branches, you can just cut & shape it the way you want putting the cut branches in soil to grow whole new trees. These do grow a lot in the summer here, but because it does go dormant it doesn’t grow from the time it sheds its leaves (October-ish where I live) until March. In March it starts growing pretty rapidly & will grow new leaves throughout March & April, by May it’s flowering & mine flowers through Sept & sometimes into October. Please note that your cutting may not flower the first year, sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. It depends on when the plant rooted & the temperature. Price includes shipping.
