Hot peppers are our specialty here at Sweetwater Farms in Chapmansboro, TN. We grow many varieties and offer them both fresh and dried. Most of our peppers are sold to people who make their own sauce, rub, or seasoning mix. We grow organically using sustainable practices. No pesticides were used on these peppers at any time during the growing process. We pride ourselves in producing clean peppers. Our region is known for producing some of the best flavored peppers in the world due to our soil content and growing practices. We have customers all over the U.S. Give us a try and see what you think! OPTIONS & SIZES We currently have multiple size options to choose from. The smallest and most popular option is the USPS Priority Mail Flate Rate Small Box. We stuff the box as full as we can get it. The Small box usually holds 25-30 peppers depending on pepper size. Larger options are available during the peak of the season starting at 50 peppers. The Mix option is our most popular variety option and will contain a mix of all the super hots we are growing. A description of each is posted below. This is the best way to try them all! A labeled picture is included in the photos above to help you identify the peppers when they arrive. We try to give you some of each variety, but your box contents will vary due to availability of each type at the time of order. If you are looking for a particular pepper, please make sure you contact us before ordering to be sure it is available. We also offer each pepper type individually during peak harvest. The Ghost Mix option features a variety of Ghost colors including Red, Peach, Orange, White and whatever else shows up on the farm. We can customize an order for you featuring any mix of the pepper varieties listed here. Contact us before purchasing if would like a custom mix. Super Hot Varieties: Ghost (Bhut Jolokia) - The traditional red ghost pepper that brings a lot of heat and a nice citrus flavor. The heat comes on gradual. It sneaks up on you like a ghost. Ghosts tip the Scoville heat scale at a little over 1,000,000 units of heat. Peach Ghost - A variation of the red ghost, the peach-colored pepper is just as hot and slightly sweeter at times. It does not taste like a peach, but it won't disappoint with its flavor either. Orange Ghost - Very similar to the Peach Ghost, only more orange in color. White Ghost - A beautiful white version of the Ghost featuring the same high heat levels. Trinidad Scorpion - Known as the second-hottest pepper in the world, this pepper gets its name for two reasons. First, the heat bites your tongue like the sting of a scorpion. Second, these peppers sometimes have little tails that kind of resemble the tail of a scorpion, though usually blunted. They have excellent fruity taste hidden under the heat. Trinidad Scorpions are around 2,000,000 units of heat on the Scoville scale, making them much hotter than the Ghost. We grow both Moruga and Butch T Trinidad Scorpions. Trinidad Scorpion boxes can also contain yellow Scorpions. Carolina Reaper - The current hottest pepper in the world, this pepper is now legendary. It brings even more heat and yet still has a big citrus flavor lying underneath. These peppers just look mean. They are often bumpy and wrinkled, and usually feature a clear dangling tail off the bottom of the pod. Carolina Reapers can reach 2,200,000 units of heat on the Scoville scale! Dragon's Breath - A newcomer to the super hot block, the Dragon's Breath is possibly (and likely) the hottest pepper to ever be known, even hotter than the Carolina Reaper! The pepper is still very new and the strain is still quite unstable, producing a wider range of heat levels, and varying shapes and colors. The heat of the Dragon's Breath ranges from 1,700,000 to 2,480,000 Scoville units of heat! If the strain stabilizes anywhere near the 2,480,000 units it will surpass the Carolina Reaper for the hottest pepper in the world title. But it cannot take the title until it stabilizes.This is our second year growing the Dragon's Breath and it showing more consistency than last year when we had multiple pod shapes and colors. This season the pods are almost all red with about 90% taking on a Scotch Bonnet-like shape with a bit of a tail, while the other 10% have been longer pods similar to a Ghost. Expect to get nearly all red pods should you choose this option with maybe a couple of other colored pods tossed in. If you for sure want red pods only, just message us before you buy and we will make it happen. The photos above are from last year's crop with all the whacky shapes and colors. We will be updating those photos with this year's crop very soon. Give this new pepper a try if you dare, but beware it has the potential to be the hottest thing your mouth has ever encountered! SHIPPING & PAYMENT We use Priority Mail shipping because it provides a timely delivery that keeps our peppers arriving as fresh as possible and is also cost efficient for our buyers. The price of shipping is included in your total. We pick as the peppers ripen so it may take 3-5 days before your order is ready to ship. Most orders last season went out in 1-2 days, but there are times when it takes a bit longer while we wait for the best peppers to send out. If you need them in a hurry, please contact us before ordering and we can give you an idea of how quick your box can be ready for shipment. We try to pick the same day as we ship so the peppers are as fresh as possible. We will ship to anywhere in the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii! Sorry, we cannot ship to APO/FPO addresses as USPS will not ship perishable items to those locations. Payment accepted through all eBay payment methods. RETURNS We do not accept returns for fresh produce. However, if there is an issue with your order when it arrives, please let us know and we will do our best to make it right! Check our shop reviews for assurance. Photos of box AND pepper damage will be required for insurance purposes. PEPPER CARE Plan to use your peppers as soon as possible after they arrive. They will be ripening in the box during transit and will be ready to use upon arrival. We pick our peppers just before full ripeness, sometimes with a little green still showing to ensure they don't over ripen before they arrive. If there is a little green still visible on a few when you open the box, don't worry, they are still at maximum flavor and heat. There may be a little dirt on them as we have found they last longer and ship better when unwashed. Rinse and clean before use. Refrigerate upon arrival if you cannot use them immediately to help prolong storage life. These peppers are HOT!!! We highly recommend using gloves when handling or preparing these peppers. The juice is very irritating to skin, causing burning and redness. It is pretty terrible to get some in your eye, we have learned the hard way.
