"I've used the 6'6" 3wt Rod & Fly on a meadow stream and the Tyenna near Hobart, and I've gotta say it's a wee ripper. I haven't used a lot of small rods (i had a nice Loomis trilogy 4wt 7'6" until someone's future father-in-law stood on it - single tear rolls down cheek), but it went well. Was great on the Tyenna on fish up to 12", and even handled some 3 pounders on the meadow stream (its location is classified under the identity protection program). Not great in the open in wind, but what can you expect. If you're into crawling through tea-tree and grovelling in the tussocks, this little bad-boy will be pretty sweet. i used a 4wt Teeny LaFontaine on it, which overlined a bit at more than 15m... Get the picture?- it's a versatile little rod. It's not the best rod I've ever cast, but it's bloody good value, especially with a spare tip and tube." I have just got back from Jindabyne (NSW) and was using the Rod & Fly 6'6" 3wt rod for the last 2 weeks on the Mowamba and Thredbo Rivers and can't praise it enough. It is an absolutly beautiful rod to use and ideal for both small and medium size rivers. Considering it cost well under $200, for all those people who are looking for a small versitle stream rod whether a first or back-up stick it's worth checking out. We Also offer a range of professional flies. The difference between professional and standard is that professional flies are tied to a more exacting standard. We only use the very best materials available. All our flies are hardwearing and robust, the professional range offers the serious fisherman an outstanding level of quality. The flies are tied on DAI-RIKI hooks which are made in Japan from carbon steel, they have chemically sharpened points which makes flattening the barbs for 'catch and release' a simple task. Rod and Fly Tasmania is owned and run by Mike Tenner who is a full time accredited guide in Tasmania the #1 location for trout fishing in Australia."LOOK HIM UP IN GOOGLE" All of the flies we sell are tried and tested patterns both for quality and standards, Mike is using the flies most days of the week in his guiding business. We have All positive feedback of 3000 + received on our products. We promise that you will be 100% satisfied with the quality of our flies or we will refund your money.
