The bar screws into the 1/2 inch frame on the left or right side of the drawers. We supply a cobalt drill bit with this bar to make your job easier. You won’t have to run to the hardware , everything you need for installation is supplied. THIS ITEM REQUIRES THE USE OF A PADLOCK. A padlock is not included, but we recommend a minimum padlock size of 30mm. Simple to use! The file bar swings out of the way so it won't interfere with opening and closing the drawers throughout the day. It also will not obstruct the function of any adjoining file cabinets. When you're ready to lock the cabinet, just close the bar and insert a padlock at the top.
