Fender Frontman 65R 65 watt Guitar Amp. VGUC to EUC. Reverb.Overdrive. EQ !

Description: Hello ! Up for sale is a severely underrated amp that should go down as one of the greats....the Fender Frontman Reverb 65R amp. As with all Fender amps, the clean channel on this unassuming looking guy does not disappoint! Even with a relatively smaller cabinet, with its pretty powerful 65 watts, and a full 12 inch speaker, the cleans are so bright, clear and round sounding....Fender all the way ! Sounds spot on with a single coil guitar like our Spectrum ST in our ebay store. So "why" you ask, do I feel that this seemingly subtle looking amp is actually a raging MONSTER in disguise? It BREATHES FIRE like you wouldn't believe! I wrote a song some years back....the riffs are very heavy with a fairly slow BPM count considering it's a metal song. I swear, I've played the song through tube amps, with tube pedals, with Randall solid states, with Metal Zones, Metal Monsters, Metal Cores, you name it. And let me tell you, my song always sounds the best with the distortion in this fairly compact box, especially when mic'd up! And I do call it distortion with the gain set fairly high, like at about 8 or more! (Although maxed out, it might sound a little fizzy ... depending on your pickups, of course.) You CAN get some pleasing overdrive sounds at lower drive levels like at about 1-4, especially with lower powered pickups, like on any of the nice D'Angelico guitars in our ebay store. But anything after that, is just pure old unadulterated raging DISTORTION, especially with some nice active pickups on your guitar ! You've also got a very responsive parametric EQ of bass, mids and treble on the drive channel, so you can tailor your dirty sound even more! Just a terrific sleeper of an amp! This model has on-board reverb as well. Sounds terrific at subtle levels, or all out surf-y type sounds! It is an effect that Fender is very well known for. And the reverb on their amps never disappoint ! Use this amp for rehearsals / practice like I do. You probably don't need to mic the Fender Frontman 65R up at a gig to hear it ROAR !
