Description: DESCRIPTION – This listing is for a very nice Wollensak 8x10 Rapid Rectilinear lens in a Wollensak Regular shutter with a lens mount flange ring. The shutter speeds need servicing – please read. I could not find a focal length for this lens in the catalog – I estimate it to be around 12 inches (middle of lens to sharp focus on surface). SHUTTER – See Uploaded Video - The shutter fires very nicely, but all the speeds seem the same unless I push down on the shutter speed regulating piston – then the 1 second is like ¼ of a second. The shutter will need servicing/repair to work properly. Settings “B” & “T” work properly. Shutter has a printed aperture range of f/8 to f/128 – but, at f/8, the aperture is not fully open. Is the maximum aperture f/4? LENS GLASS – The lens glass is super clean – see photos. No scratches, fungus, no element separation – and it is not foggy. There is some dust between the elements in the front & rear lens sets. If I could get the elements apart the glass would look Mint, but I cannot seem to unscrew them and do not want to force anything. APERTURE – Aperture works great and the blades are clean. See Photos. SIZE – This is a big lens. The rear element of the lens is 56mm in diameter. The outer diameter of the lens mount flange ring is approximately 85mm in diameter.
