In 1933, at age 19, Ernest took his first job singing at San Antonio radio station KONO. His other job at that time was digging ditches for the WPA. In this songbook, you get 15 tunes, many of them written by Ernest and other family members. You'll get Don't Trifle On Your Sweetheart, So Many Times, Dear Judge, I Need Attention Bad, Don't Just Stand There and many more! There are also many photos of Ernest, his family and his friend, Mrs. Carrie Rodgers, widow of the great Jimmie Rodgers, (who helped Ernest get a record contract). This 70 year old songbook is in good, used condition. There are blemishes, old price tags and residual glue from old price tags on the cover. Please see photos to assess condition.
