She went to Paris to complete her artistic training at the Académie Julian in Jules Lefebvre's studio. In 1892, she created Pax et Labor for her final exam, which was subsequently exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts in Tours.She then exhibited at the Painting and Sculpture Salon between 1893 and 1941. Her work is identified with the Pre-Raphaelite artistic movement after her trip to Florence and Rome where she was influenced by Renaissance art and the painter Botticelli.His painting is inspired by the chivalric epic of Arthurian legend. His subjects, whether portraits or landscapes, are allegorical, mystical and symbolic. His mystical work includes Wandering Souls (Salon of 1894), Spirits of the Abîme (Salon of 1899) and Young Woman with Tapestry.
