EARLY ALL BRASS MORTISE LOCK w/KEY - 5 3/8" FACE FULLY RESTORED (17561-20)Vintage, all brass box and parts, circa 1850-70, fully restored, with key works perfectly, very nice, perhaps hand made, the lock is not reversible. FACEPLATE: Faceplate is brass, 5 3/8" long, 15/16" wide, 1/8" thick. BOX: Box is 3 5/8" deep from the front edge of the face plate and it is 3 7/8" top to bottom. SCREWS: Screw holes are on 4 3/4" centers. BACKSET: Backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 3/4". DROP: Drop (the distance from the center of the knob post hole down to the center of the round portion of the key hole) is 2 1/4".KNOB POST: The lock requires a standard 5/16" knob post.REVERSIBILITY: The lock is NOT reversible, see Hand of Doors picture to know if it is right for your project. KEY: The lock comes with one functioning key. High quality, early production, probably hand made, functions perfectly and comes with the key. Ready for your project!
