This is a 2-in-1 Schwerer Panzerspa"hwagen kit, this German name translating as “Heavy Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle.” Modelers have the choice of making an Infantry version able to carry troops, or a Command version fitted with a characteristic frame antenna on the turret. Modelers can choose which version they prefer. For those wishing to obtain this unique kit at a modest price, this Orange Box set is the answer. The kit is also accompanied by a figure set. As per other railway-related releases, this set comes with a ready-made piece of railway track with embankment. A Little History: The Deutsche Reichsbahn (German State Railway) performed a vital role in shuttling supplies, equipment and personnel all across Europe during WWII to keep the German war machine in perpetual motion. Obviously these vital railway lines were vulnerable to attack by sabotage or bombing.
